Pick six carryover reaches $120,945

ARCADIA, Calif. - An upset win by Pt's Grey Eagle at 29-1 in Sunday's Ancient Title Breeders' Cup Handicap helped led to a carryover of $120,945 for Monday's pick six at Santa Anita.

Monday's program begins at 12:30 p.m. The pick six covers the fourth through ninth races, and includes three turf races and three races on the main track.

No field has less than eight entrants during the pick six.

The fourth race is run over 1 1-8 miles on turf, a starter allowance. Ulterior Motives is the 2-1 morning-line favorite in a field of nine that includes top contenders Desert Boom and Me My Mine.

The fifth race is run over six furlongs for 2-year-olds. California Choice and Seize the Day will dominate the betting.

The sixth race is a tough hillside turf sprint for $40,000 claimers. Carla Rose is withdrawn from the also-eligible list. Darlin Corey is the lukewarm 4-1 favorite on the morning-line.

The seventh race is run over seven furlongs, an optional claimer. Last Minute Detail, the winner of the Foothill Stakes at Fairplex Park last month, is 9-2 against the tough sprinters Courageous Act and Hasty Kris.

The featured eighth race is not just about Sweet Win, though she will be a strong favorite. Sagitta Ra, Penny's Fortune and Mea Domina are worth consideration. St. Francis Wood is scratched.

The finale is run over a mile for 2-year-old maiden claimers. There are 10 entrants in a race that lacks a strong favorite. Charade Event, CR Power, Rendies Summer and Time to Sing will be well-backed.
