Pick six carrryover reaches $155,872


INGLEWOOD, Calif. - The surprise win by Debonair Joe at 52-1 in Saturday's Vernon Underwood Stakes has created a pick six carryover of $155,872 for Sunday's program at Hollywood Park.

The pick six covers the fourth through ninth races of a nine-race program that begins at 12:30 p.m.

There are no late scratches in the pick six races, which includes two turf races and four sprints.

Slew the Red and Motto are the top contenders in the fourth race, an allowance race over 1 1-4 miles on turf. There are only five starters.

In the fifth race, Disguys Dalimit is the 7-2 morning-line favorite in a field of 10. The race is run over six furlongs for $14,000 to $16,000 claimers.

The sixth is a maiden special weight over seven furlongs. Seattlespectacular, trained by Neil French, is 5-2, but must contend with Golden Embers (3-1) and Hot (7-2).

In the seventh race, Sea of Showers, trained by Bobby Frankel, is the 9-5 morning line favorite in a one-mile allowance race that drew 12 starters.

The final two races are sprints.

Madame Pietra, the winner of the Cascapedia Stakes at Santa Anita in October, is the 9-5 morning-line favorite to win the $70,000 Corona Handicap. Habibti, a two-time major stakes winner last year, is 2-1 to end a five-race losing streak.

In the finale, Ima Mile High Guy will represent leading trainer Doug O'Neill in a seven-furlong race for 3-year-old claimers entered for $14,000 to $16,000. Ima Mile High Guy is the 5-2 choice, and has nine opponents, incluidng the well-regarded Gummies Symph.
