Pick 6 carryover of $567K at Santa Anita

EmailARCADIA, Calif. - A two-day pick six carryover of $567,547 will lead to massive interest in Monday's nine-race program at the Oak Tree at Santa Anita meeting.

The program begins at 12:30 p.m., with the first pick six race, the fourth race, set to start at 2:30 p.m. The pick six races include two races for 2-year-olds, including the Cavonnier Stakes for statebreds; and two one-mile turf races, including the minor Swingtime Stakes.

The fourth race is a maiden claimer for 2-year-olds over six furlongs. Coastal Eddy is a lukewarm 7-2 favorite in a field of nine.

The fifth race is a seven-furlong optional claimer that has drawn seven runners. C'Mon Tiger drew the rail, but most beat Principle Secret, Publication and Fly Dorcego.

The sixth race, a maiden race over a mile on turf, includes the entry of Heartstrings and Island Hop. Powerofvoodoo is the morning-line favorite, but will not be a heavy choice.

Topper Shopper, a stakes winner at Fairplex Park, is the leading contender in the Cavonnier Stakes, which has drawn a field of eight. Commissioner Gordon and Suit Yourself are worth considering.

The eighth race, the Swingtime Stakes, has drawn 10 entrants. Double Trouble, trained by Bobby Frankel, will be a deserving favorite.

The final race is a six-furlong race for statebred $10,000 claimers. Leading contender Eden Simone, who starts from post 12 in a field of 13, must beat Home Alona and O Bee Naki.
