Pick 6 carryover is $169K

ARCADIA, Calif. - Sunday’s nine-race program at Hollywood Park will begin with a pick six carryover of $169,348 after a string of longshots pulled upsets on Saturday.

Sunday’s pick six covers the fourth through ninth races, a span that includes three races around two turns. First post time is 12:30 p.m.

There were no scratch time withdrawals on Saturday for Sunday’s pick six races. Here is a rundown of the fourth through ninth races.

Exhale, a promising maiden, will be favored in the fourth race, which is run over 1 1/16 miles on the main track.

The fifth race features nine runners in a six-furlong allowance race on turf. Ready to Talk, Miss Silver Image, Velvety Smooth, and Belle Fleur are the leading contenders.

The sixth-race is a maiden for statebred 2-year-olds over six furlongs. River Echo will be favored from post 11 in a field of 12.

The seventh race is an optional claimer over a mile on turf, a field that features eight starters. Big Promise, trained by Paddy Gallagher, is likely to be favored over Spy Aly and Ballado’s Thunder.

The $150,000 Bayakoa Handicap over 1 1/16 miles for fillies and mares has 14 entrants, but fewer may start. Trainer Bobby Frankel said on Friday that Neuilly, a restricted stakes winner at Del Mar in August, may scratch after drawing post 14. Vague, the winner of the UAE 1000 Guineas, and Foxysox, a multiple stakes winner on turf, are leading contenders.

The final race is a maiden claimer over 6 1/2 furlongs. Twisted Lyric, Byrnes, and King’s Fantasy led a field of nine.
