Jockey Cesar De Alba guides Golden Ticket over the finish line to win the $100,000 Greenwood Cup Hcp at Philadelphia Park.

Golden Ticket, claimed for $20,000 last August at Del Mar, stepped up to try stakes company for trainer Clifford Sise Jr. in the $100,000 Greenwood Cup Handicap. Like just about everything Sise has been sending out since arriving at Philadelphia Park, Golden Ticket made his trainer look like a genius.

Golden Ticket ($9.40) wired a group of nine other older horses and came close to an 11-year-old track record for 1 1/2 miles while romping to a 10 1/4-length victory. The 5-year-old Golden Ticket, ridden by apprentice Cesar Dealba, was timed in 2:31.61 over a sloppy track, just 0.61 of a second off the track record set by Laugh a Minute in 1992.

Asong for Billy, the even-money favorite, finished a distant second, a half-length ahead of Yankee Doodle Boy.

* In the $55,000 Peppy Addy for 3-year-old statebreds, Yo ($5.20) held off 28-1 longshot Valleyman by a neck to win for the fourth time in five lifetime starts.
