Philadelphia: United one to fear

United, who responded with his best performance in six months when switched to the turf, will attempt to retain his good form when he moves back to the main track for the $50,000 Peppy Addy Stakes at Philadelphia Park.

The seven-furlong race is restricted to Pennsylvania-bred 3-year-olds.

The last time the New York-based United shipped to Philly Park, he scored a 5 1/2-length victory in the seven-furlong Pennsylvania Nursery last November. Ambitiously spotted in such races as the Delta Jackpot and the Grade 2 Swale, United wasn't competitive. He woke up, however, when he changed surfaces for the Woodlawn three weeks ago, finishing second in the 1 1/16-mile turf race on the Preakness undercard.

Super Eight Track wasn't a factor in the Federico Tesio at Pimlico, but he could wake up in his return to his home track, where he won his previous two starts by a combined 10 lengths.
