Ashado, ridden for the first time by Eibar Coa, wins the Grade 2 Cotillion Handicap by an easy 2 3/4 lengths on Saturday at Philadelphia Park. The race was her final prep for the Breeders' Cup Distaff on Oct. 30.

Heavily favored Ashado easily won the Grade 2, $250,000 for 3-year-old fillies at Philadelphia Park on Saturday, defeating Ender's Sister by 2 3/4 lengths. My Lordship was another 3 1/2 lengths back in third.

In her final prep for the Breeders' Cup Distaff, Ashado stalked the pace three wide, took command in early stretch, and widened the gap while being ridden out.

Ridden for the first time by Eibar Coa while regular jockey John Velazquez stayed home to ride in New York, Ashado ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:41.68 and paid $2.40. The track record for the distance is 1:40.80.

Ashado improved her record to eight wins and three seconds in 13 starts.
