Hailies Girl with Anthony Black riding holds off the challenge of Jet Away Jane and Joanne McDaid to win the $50,000 added Foxy JG Stakes at Philadelphia Park on July 4th.

Hailie's Girl, winless in four starts since launching her career with three consecutive victories, got back on the winning track when she held off Jet Away Jane by a neck in the $50,000 Foxy J.G. Stakes for Pennsylvania-bred 3-year-old fillies at Philadelphia Park.

Tony Black, who rode Hailie's Girl when she went 3 for 3 last fall, including the Blue Mountain Juvenile at Penn National, was back aboard her for the first time since November.

Hailie's Girl ($4), the 124-pound highweight, raced on the lead early, briefly was headed at the eighth pole by Jet Away Jane, but rallied to get up nearing the wire. The winning time for seven furlongs on a fast track was 1:23.60.

A daughter of Lucky North trained by Lupe Preciado, Hailie's Girl is now 4 for 8 lifetime.
