Winning Image, with jockey Jose Caraballo up, had just enough left to hold on in the $75,000 Langhorne.

Winning Image led from start to finish to capture the $75,000 Langhorne at Parx Racing on Tuesday afternoon.

Trained by Mike Aro, Winning Image was sent to the front by jockey Jose Caraballo and led by nearly two lengths to upper stretch. Caraballo went to work late and held off a late charge by Island Bound and jockey Ronnie Allen Jr. to prevail by a half-length.

Winning Image came into the 6 1/2-furlong event off a seven-week layoff. In her last out Feb. 4 at Aqueduct, the 5-year-old mare finished last, beaten nearly 17 lengths in the $100,000 Correction. After the race, Aro discovered Winning Image had a lung infection. Winning Image recoverd and was training well for the Langhorne, posting two bullet works.

The favorite High Quality finished third, 3 1/2 lengths behind the winner after chasing the pace early. Winning Image was timed over a fast track in 1.16.64 and returned $6.80 to win.
