Movin' Out comes within .62 of a second of the Parx Racing track record for 6 1/2 furlongs while winning the Bensalem.

Movin’ Out set wickedly fast fractions, but still had plenty left In his tank during the stretch run to dominate Tuesday’s $75,000 Bensalem Stakes at Parx Racing.

Racing for the first time since Jan. 15, the 6-year-old Movin’ Out drew clear early while carving out fractions of 21.55 seconds, 43.96, and 1:08.30 under jockey Eriluis Vaz, then crossed the wire three lengths in front of former Grade 3 stakes winner Despite the Odds. Movin’ Out, who won the $100,000 PHBA Classic for Pennsylvania-breds going 21 1/16 miles last September, covered 6 ½ furlongs in 1:15.02, just .62 of a second off the track record of 1:14.39 held by Cherokee Country.

Trained by Keith Lebarron, Movin’ Out has now won 10 of 35 lifetime for owner Vince Campanella.

Despite the Odds, seeking his first win since taking the off-the-turf Grade 3 Hill Prince at Belmont Park in June 2009, rallied from third to finish second, 3 1/2 lengths in front of Wink At the Girls.

Billy One Lite finished fifth of six as the 3-2 favorite.
