Grade 1 winner Paola Queen will be cataloged as a broodmare prospect for this year’s Keeneland November Breeding Stock sale. The 4-year-old Flatter filly retired with two wins in 10 starts for earnings of $431,490, highlighted by a victory in the Grade 1 Test Stakes and a runner-up effort in the Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Oaks. Elite Sales will consign Paola Queen, as agent, at the Keeneland sale, which begins Nov. 7. The filly was a $1.7 million purchase by SF Bloodstock at last year’s Keeneland November sale. “She is a beautiful specimen,” Tom Ryan of SF Bloodstock said. “The Grade 1 Test has always been an indicator of class and brilliance. All combined makes her very special.” Bred in Kentucky by CFP Thoroughbreds, Paola Queen is out of the Grade 3-placed stakes-winning Kafwain mare Kadira, who is the dam of three winners from four foals to race. She is from the family of Grade 1 winner Point Ashley and Grade 2 winner Raw Gold.
