'P. S. Good' looks best in prep

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - P. S. Good N Ready towers over her five opponents in an unrestricted allowance race at Hastings on Sunday. The 6 1/2-furlong feature for 2-year-old fillies carries a $33,900 purse and will serve as the final prep for the $100,000 Sadie Diamond Futurity on Oct. 4.

Trained by Cindy Krasner, P. S. Good N Ready is coming off of a second-place finish to heavily favored What R the Odds in the $50,000 Lassie Stakes on Aug. 23. Bred and owned by Telford Farms, P. S. Good N Ready was an easy 4 3/4-length winner of the restricted B.C. Cup Debutante on Aug. 4, and a similar effort would likely be good enough to win here.

P. S. Good N Ready has good speed and figures to be involved right from the start.

Tick Me Off, who is trained by Harold Barroby, scored an impressive win when she debuted in a six-furlong maiden special weight race Aug. 22. Breaking a bit awkwardly with Richard Hamel aboard, Tick Me Off appeared to drop out of contention early. She found her best stride going around the stretch turn, however, and then made strong move along the rail to nip Cielo Rojo at the wire.

Also on the card is the third leg of the marathon series where Against the Sky will be looking to win her fifth straight race. A 6-year-old mare, Against the Sky has won the first two legs of the series and has been assigned high weight of 123 pounds. Against the Sky is the only female in the 1 7/16-mile starter handicap.
