Outrageous Green ended the five-race win streak of Yo Y Me on Sunday, when he defeated that rival in the $30,000 Inaugural for 3-year-olds at Arapahoe Park. The race was the first stakes of the meet in Colorado.

Yo Y Me, who was seeking to win his sixth straight race, finished third. He had won four consecutive stakes races leading up the Inaugural and was making his first start at Arapahoe.

Outrageous Green ($22.80) stalked the pace as Yo Y Me set pressured fractions of 22.38 seconds for the opening quarter-mile and 45.44 for the half-mile. Outrageous Green advanced and went on to cover six furlongs on a track rated fast in 1:11.06.

Karlo Lopez was aboard for trainer Eugene Burns.

Outrageous Green won by a half-length over Green Card. It was another 1 1/4 lengths back to Yo Y Me.

Outrageous Green came into the Inaugural off a runner-up finish in a conditioned allowance at Turf Paradise. Dewey Williams owns the horse, who earned $18,000 for his win. Outrageous Green is a son of the Tiznow stallion Outrageous Limit.

* Arapahoe opened its meet Friday, but due to inclement weather the races were called off after the third event. Racing resumed as scheduled Saturday.
