Ouija Board plans in formation

Ouija Board, winner of the English Oaks and Irish Oaks this season at 1 1/2 miles, could revert to 1 1/4 miles for the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf at Lone Star on Oct. 30.

Trainer Ed Dunlop outlined an ambitious program for his filly on Wednesday, mentioning the 1 1/2-mile Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on Oct. 3 and the 1 1/4-mile Champion Stakes on Oct. 23 as possibilities as well. Ouija Board's next race is likely to be the 1 1/2-mile Yorkshire Oaks at York on Aug. 18, but Dunlop said there is an outside chance that she may be switched to the 1 1/4-mile, 88-yard Juddmonte International the day before.

Ouija Board's owner, Lord Derby, would have to pay a $180,000 supplementary fee to get her into the Filly and Mare Turf.

On the Arlington Million front, trainer Mark Johnston is making plans to send both Gateman and Scott's View to Arlington. Those two were second and fifth in Monday's Group 2 Scottish Derby at Ayr. Scott's View, though, is slated to go in the Group 1 Bayerisches Zuchtrennen at Munich on Aug. 1 beforehand.

Other Europeans aiming at the Million include Premio Roma winner Imperial Dancer, Singapore Airlines International Cup winner Epalo, and one from Godolphin, perhaps Vespone.
