Irad Ortiz Jr. will ride in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday and Saturday.

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Irad Ortiz Jr. is taking his talent to Saudi Arabia. For two days, anyway.

Ortiz will be riding Friday and Saturday at King Abdulaziz Racetrack in Riyadh, according to his agent, Steve Rushing. Rushing didn’t have specifics about whom Ortiz would be riding but noted that he would miss cards at Aqueduct on Thursday through Saturday. He is expected to return Sunday.

Ortiz has been on quite a roll the last three weeks at Aqueduct. Over 11 cards from Jan. 20 through Sunday, Ortiz rode 25 winners from 71 mounts. He had ridden 24 winners from his first 107 mounts during the inner-track meet. Ortiz’s 49 wins give him a 16-win advantage over Kendrick Carmouche for top honors at Aqueduct’s inner-track season, which goes through March 26.

On the race cards he has not been named to any horses on Friday, but he has four rides on Saturday, including on the big two stakes races made up from the split of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup (G 1) for trainer Sami Al-Harabi .

Good luck Irad!

it Should be King AbdulAziz Cup G1

Thanks, my bad, the Kings cup is always after the Crown Prince and I just hadn't heard anything about it . Wigberto Ramos rode one for me in  both races back in the day and I like hearing anything about them.

Despite most of the 9/11 hijackers coming from Saudi Arabia, they are not on  the Trump travel ban list because he does business there. #DEPLORABLE #PHONY

Larry is just another libtard that needs attention and relies on others to take care of him.

He is also a terrible handicapper -- always loses -- you can take who ever he picks and automatically throw them out in any race.

He even has a brother you can call and do the same!
