The New York Racing Association will give fans purchasing tickets to the Belmont Stakes before May 18 a chance to win $150,000 in the Belmont Stakes Sweepstakes. Each ticket purchased for Belmont Stakes Day before May 18 will earn the buyer an entry into the sweepstakes. Patrons who have already purchased tickets will be retroactively entered. Each person is limited to 12 entries. A winning ticket will be drawn prior to Belmont Day, and that person will get to announce his pick to win the Belmont Stakes to the crowd prior to the race. If he is correct, he will win $150,000. The winning ticket holder will also receive a VIP trip to the three-day Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, which includes airfare and five nights of hotel accommodations. NYRA Bets members who have placed an account wager between June 10, 2017, and May 18 will receive five entries in the sweepstakes.
