Olmodavor moves to Manitoba to stand at Rivard
Olmodavor, sire of three 2012 stakes winners including Idle Talk, will relocate from Magali Farms in California to Rivard Stables in St. Eustache, Manitoba, Canada, for 2013. Olmadavor's fee has not been announced.
A 13-year-old A.P. Indy stallion, Olmodavor stood for $5,000 this year in California, where he currently ranks 20th in the state by progeny earnings this year. Olmodavor began his stud career at Adena Springs Farm in Kentucky.
Eric Hamelback, Adena's general manager, said the operation would partner with Manitoba Breeders Syndicate to stand Olmodavor at Rivard Stables next year.
Olmodavor won the Grade 3 Native Diver and Whirlaway Handicaps in 2003 and 2004, respectively. He earned more than $706,540 from 5 wins, 5 seconds, and a third in 15 lifetime starts.
Olmodavor is out of the Grade 1-winning El Gran Senor mare Corrazona. His two other stakes winners this year are Numb Lips, who won Calder's Primal Stakes, and Almighty O, winner of Thistledown's Honey Jay Stakes.
