Old Forester, Bold Executive issued $50,000 Ontario stallion awards

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – The owners of Old Forester and Bold Executive both have collected $50,000 for the 2010 accomplishments of their Ontario-based stallions.

The Ontario division of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society announced the stallion awards funded by the Thoroughbred Improvement Program in a press release issued Wednesday afternoon.
Old Forester was the top first-crop sire with progeny earnings of $1,045,669 keyed by stakes winners Tree Pose and Citius.

Bold Executive sired 67 winners from 121 runners with his progeny earnings of $3,766,493 earning him the top award in that category. His leading runners were multiple stakes winners Sand Cove and Jacally.

Where’s the Ring was awarded the runner-up award of $30,000 for his progeny earnings of $2,802,449. His 39 winners from 83 runners included stakes winner Race for Gold.

Trajectory was third-best with progeny earnings of $1,658,984 and was the recipient of a $20,000 award. His 35 winners from 102 runners included stakes winners Resentless.
