J. Michael O’Farrell’s Ocala Stud released its advertised stud fees for the 2014 breeding season Wednesday, with the fees for all of its returning stallions unchanged from last year, and a new addition in Grade 2 winner Prospective. The Ocala, Fla., farm’s roster is led by High Cotton, who will stand for $7,500. The 10-year-old Dixie Union horse, a Grade 3 winner during his racing career, is the sire of three crops of racing age led by Grade 1 winner Currency Swap. Other successful runners by High Cotton include Grade 2 winner Spurious Precision and Grade 2-placed stakes winners Speak Logistics and Tarpy’s Goal. Prospective was announced as Ocala Stud’s newest addition earlier this month, and will stand his debut season for a fee of $5,000. The 4-year-old son of Malibu Moon finished his on-track career with seven wins in 17 starts for earnings of $719,130. His résumé is highlighted by wins in the Grade 2 Tampa Bay Derby and the Grade 3 Grey Stakes and Ohio Derby. Below are the advertised fees for the 2014 stallion roster at Ocala Stud.
