A pair of juveniles assumed the overall fastest time for an eighth of a mile on Thursday at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s  spring 2-year-olds in training sale, stopping the clock in 9.60 seconds.

The horses breezed over the Ocala Training Center’s all-weather Safetrack surface.

Following are the two horses who tied for Thursday’s fastest time over one furlong.

- Hip 778, a More Than Ready filly out of the Grade 2-placed Clever Trick mare Miss Mary Apples, whose seven winners from nine foals to race includes stakes winners Dr. Diamonds Prize and Miss Red Delicious. Miss Red Delicious  is also a stakes producer.

Her extended page features Turkish Group 3 winner Euphrates and stakes winner Maddie's Charm.

Bred in Kentucky by KatieRich Farms, the filly sold for $390,000 at last year's Keeneland September yearling sale. She is consigned at the OBS spring sale by Wavertree Stables, agent.

- Hip 793, a bay Tiznow colt out of the unplaced Distorted Humor mare Moonbow, who is the dam of two winners from three foals to race. The extended family features champion sprinter Gold Beauty, Grade 2 winner The Prime Minister, and Grade 3 winner Buffum.

Bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm, the colt sold for $125,000 at last year's Keeneland September sale, and is consigned at the OBS spring juvenile auction by Bobby Dodd, agent.

WinStar Farm purchased Moonbow at the conclusion of her racing career for $270,000 out of the 2010 Keeneland November breeding stock sale. Her most expensive foal to date is Green Moon Rising, a Malibu Moon colt who went to Donegal Racing for $270,000 at the 2015 Keeneland September sale.

Thursday’s fastest time at a quarter-mile came from Hip 734, a Teuflesberg filly who breezed in 21 seconds flat.

The chestnut filly is out of the winning Malibu Moon mare Malibu Mystique, whose three foals to race are all winners, including stakes winner Brenda’s Way. The New York-bred’s extended family includes Grade 2 winner Batna and Grade 3-placed stakes winner Jack on the Rocks.

New Hope consigns the filly, as agent.

The OBS spring sale’s breeze show continues through Saturday, beginning each day at 8 a.m. Eastern. The auction will be held April 25-28 with a 10:30 a.m. start time.
