Email

A Proud Accolade filly cracked the 10-second barrier Sunday at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s June 2-year-old auction’s under-tack show, becoming the preview’s fastest worker over a furlong.

The bay daughter of Lake Victoria covered an eighth-mile in 9.8 seconds, the fastest time at that distance during the two-day under-tack preview. Agent Lynne Boutte consigns the filly, cataloged as Hip No. 317.

The quickest quarter-mile time, also accomplished on Sunday, was 20.8 seconds. That was the time for Hip No. 453, a Stormello colt out of Puff the Magic. The Blue River Bloodstock agency is the consignor.

Hip No. 399 also posted the under tack sessions’ fastest three-eighths mile time on Sunday when she went in 33.4 seconds. Hip No. 399 is a Safely’s Mark filly out of Naturally Clever. Gayle Woods, agent, is the consignor.

Workout videos from the under-tack shows are available at www.obssales.com.

The June auction features juveniles as well as horses of racing age. It takes place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the OBS pavilion in Ocala, Fla.
