HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Ile St. Molly won the second stakes race of her young career Friday at Oaklawn Park, when she cruised to a 3 3/4-length win in the $60,000 Rainbow Miss. Sashabye finished second, a length clear of third-place finisher Pistolpackinpenny.

Ile St. Molly ($4.20) was making just the fourth start of her career in the Rainbow Miss, a six-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies bred in Arkansas. She dueled through an opening quarter in 22.19 seconds, and a half-mile in 46.29 before shaking her pace rivals and going about her business. Ile St. Molly covered the distance on a track rated fast in 1:11.51.

"My filly does everything well," said winning rider Robby Albarado. "She breaks well, runs well."

Kenny Smith, who trains Ile St. Molly for her breeder, James H. Glover, was equally pleased with the effort Friday.

"She was very professional," he said. "She's the type of filly that can probably tackle open company. If she comes back well from this, I'm going to talk to Mr. Glover about the Instant Racing."

The $75,000 Instant Racing for 3-year-old fillies will be run at Oaklawn on April 12.
Ile St. Molly's previous stakes win came in her career debut, when she captured the $50,000 Lady Razorback Futurity for Arkansas-breds at Louisiana Downs last September.
