HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Fastestwhogetspaid was the longest shot in the $60,000 Gazebo at Oaklawn on Saturday 38-1, but he rallied with authority to catch Lake Victor on the wire for a nose win. It was another 2 1/4 lengths back in third to Mr Bluegrass Music.

The Gazebo, a six-furlong race for 3-year-olds, was formerly named the Mountain Valley.

Fastestwhogetspaid ($79) raced in fifth early, as Brown Eyed Jozi led a wall of horses through an opening quarter in 22.63 seconds and a half-mile in 46.67. Fastestwhogetspaid powered through rivals in the stretch, getting up in 1:11.68.

"He showed a lot of guts," said Channing Hill, who was aboard the winner for trainer Brian Williamson.

Williamson said Fastestwhogetspaid's next start is to be determined, with the $75,000 Bachelor at Oaklawn on April 7 a consideration. He said he has also nominated the horse to the Illinois Derby because he has an affinity for the main track at Hawthorne.

Fastestwhogetspaid on Saturday topped a 6-7 exacta that returned $496.80, and a 6-7-5 trifecta that returned $2,101.90.

Fastestwhogetspaid earned $36,000 for the Gazebo win, which was his third career victory from six starts. He races for the partnership of Oak Knoll Farm and Team Wilcox.

* Attendance at Oaklawn on Saturday was 16,144.
