Souris won her fourth consecutive stakes when she ran down Forest Music in the stretch to win the $50,000 Spring Fever at Oaklawn Park.

Forest Music was second by 3 3/4 lengths. It was another length back in third to Saltwater Runner.

Souris ($3.40) settled in the second flight in the 5 1/2-furlong Spring Fever, as Goldleafed Mirror broke like a shot and ran the opening quarter in 21.80 seconds, with Forest Music in close pursuit. Souris advanced along the rail, angled out into the stretch, and ran down Forest Music, who for a brief time seemed home free. Souris covered the distance over a fast track in 1:03.78. Roman Chapa rode the winner for trainer Steve Asmussen.

Souris had won three stakes leading up to the Spring Fever, all since blinkers were put back on her. The 5-year-old Souris has now won 11 of 31 career starts with earnings of $623,406.
