The filly On Fire Baby is under consideration for three stakes, including the Southwest vs. males.

The multiple Grade 2-winning filly On Fire Baby galloped 1 1/2 miles Wednesday morning at Oaklawn in her first day back to the track after breezing five furlongs in a bullet 59.80 seconds Monday. Trainer Gary Hartlage said she emerged from the workout in “super” condition, and he liked how she trained Wednesday under regular rider Joe Johnson.

“She went really good,” Hartlage said. “Joe was on her, and he said she came out of the work really good.”

Hartlage said Anita Cauley, who owns On Fire Baby, is in the process of determining what the filly will target for her next race. The regional options include the Grade 3, $250,000 Southwest against males at Oaklawn on Feb. 20; the Grade 3, $200,000 Rachel Alexandra for 3-year-old fillies at Fair Grounds on Feb. 25; and the Grade 3, $125,000 Honeybee for 3-year-old fillies at Oaklawn on March 10.

On Fire Baby last raced Jan. 16, and was third against males in the $100,000 Smarty Jones at Oaklawn.
