NYRA to offer seminar for prospective owners

The New York Racing Association will offer a seminar for prospective new Thoroughbred owners on Sunday at Belmont Park.

Hosted by former jockey and current NYRA employee Richard Migliore, the all-day seminar provides a comprehensive overview of Thoroughbred ownership business to prospective new clients. Attendees will get to visit with trainers, jockeys and racing officials as well as participate in a winner’s circle trophy presentation.

Included among the guest speakers are trainers John Kimmel and Gary Sciacca, owner Steve Sigler, representatives from Summit Thoroughbreds, steward Stephen Lewandowski, equine accountant Andre Moglia, bloodstock advisor Tony Cobitz, and radio personality/horse owner Steve Byk.

The seminar, which costs $50, begins at 8 a.m. and includes breakfast and lunch, a backstretch tour, a racing program and giveaway bag.
