Notgivinmyloveaway hot off last

Notgivinmyloveaway will be favored over eight Pennsylvania-bred 3-year-old rivals in the $75,000 Dusty Screen at Presque Isle on Friday evening.

Trained by Reade Baker, Notgivinmyloveaway won a mile-and-70-yard statebred allowance race against older horses by two lengths over Presque Isle's Tapeta surface on Labor Day. Jockey Eurico Rosa Da Silva had Notgivinmyloveaway far back early in that race, but Notgivinmylove-away closed with a rush to win. That strategy should suit him well in the Dusty Screen, as several sprinters will be trying to stretch out to the one-mile distance.

The allowance race was the third start of the year for Notgivinmylove-away, who had finished seventh and third in a pair of optional claiming races at Woodbine. In the most recent race there, on Aug. 18, Notgivinmyloveaway was beaten only a neck by older horses, earning a Beyer Figure of 91.

Dynamic Dan, the main threat to upset Notgivinmyloveaway, is coming off two wins at Philadelphia Park. Trained By Bill Campbell, Dynamic Dan won a statebred allowance race Aug. 3 against older horses by 4 1/2 lengths. He then came back to win the $100,000 Peppy Addy on Aug. 23 against Pennsylvania-bred 3-year-olds by 3 1/4 lengths. Ryan Fogelsonger will ride for the first time. The only time Notgivinmyloveaway and Dynamic Dan faced each other, Notgivin-myloveaway won by nine lengths in the Penna Nurse last year at Philadelphia Park.
