Not My Note scores in Casey Darnell Pony Express

Glen Murphy guides Not My Note to a 1 1/2-length victory in the Casey Darnell Pony Express.

Not My Note became a stakes winner on Saturday, when he defeated favorite Weappear by 1 1/2 lengths in the $60,000 Casey Darnell Pony Express at the Downs at Albuquerque. It was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third to Storm of Roses.

D E Lover, a multiple stakes winner on a win streak, was scratched from the Pony Express. The race was for 3-year-olds and up bred in New Mexico. 

Not My Note ($6.20) attended the pace set by Storm of Roses, who took the field through fractions of 22.84 seconds for the opening quarter-mile and 45.48 for the half-mile. Not My Note overtook Storm of Roses and went on to cover 5 1/2 furlongs on a fast track in 1:03.42.

Glen Murphy was aboard for owner-breeder Michael Weatherly and trainer Dan Dennison.

Not My Note has now won 5 of 10 starts and $132,711. He is a son of Fusaichi Zenon.
