Northfield: Wednesday 9/7 Analysis + Pick Four Ticket

Race 8 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Jeremey’s $1 Pick Four Play:

1,2,6 / 3,4 / 5 / 2,4,7 = $18

Best Bet: KIRKTONS CREDIT (10th)

Spot Play: ST ELIAN’S FIRE (3rd)

Race 1

(5) MONTANA SKIES just missed last week at this level and should offer a better price.  (1) WIND SURFER veteran trotter has made over 900k lifetime and is still capable of a big effort from time to time.  (4) STAR CHIP has made the most money in the field on the year by far; threat.

Race 2

(1) LITTLE TIGER SCALE Indiana bred filly makes her first start for new connections with the best post.  (2) RADIO LOVER three-year-old filly should be in a great spot to hit the board.  (5) REAL SEXY LADY filly faces older but has room to improve.

Race 3

(6) ST ELIANS'S FIRE takes a huge drop in class.  If the trotting mare can work out a trouble-free trip she's the horse to beat.  (2) IGOTTOKEEPONMOVING doesn't own a win on the year but does get sent out for the top barn.  (5) MOMA JEAN'S CROWN is very inconsistent week to week; command a price.

Race 4

(4) MR TOMMY FRA well bred stallion has turned it around in the second half of the season despite making a miscue on the fair track last week.   (8) CMR WINDMACH needs some racing luck but has been pacing faster than most of the field.  (7) ELOCUTIONIST picks back up the top driver who's always a threat.

Race 5

(5) FLIRTATIOUSLY should offer a bigger price than the morning line.  The well bred filly is one of few threats in a weak field.  (3) DAYTON ANGEL just missed at this level when last seen at this track.  (2) YOUHADMEFROMHELLO has been in the mix two weeks in a row; threat.

Race 6

(7) BLACK DENIM N LACE 5-year-old mare comes into the race sharp; big chance.  (1) STAR TREATMENT lightly raced four-year-old gets the best post off some encouraging efforts.  (5) SPARTAN CAN-DO closed good ground against this same bunch last start.

Race 7

(2) BORN TO ROCKN ROLL paced a huge mile last week just missing.  The pacer gets a big post edge on some of the other contenders.  (1) HAWAII AND SUN went a sneaky good mile last out against better.  (8) DIVULGE is capable of hitting the ticket with a good setup.

Race 8

(1) SAND SAVAGE went a big effort last start tiring just a bit late.   (2) JIMMY RIP has put in two good efforts in a row.  (6) STEVIE DIAMONDS beat a softer field last week but needs more to make it two straight.

Race 9

(3) SAND ROYAL BLU six-year-old trotter is the fastest in the field by far when he minds his manners.   (4) PARNELL raced huge last week at this level; threat.  (1) S M'S TERMINATOR just raced evenly last week from the same spot; use underneath.

Race 10

(5) KIRKTONS CREDIT set a lifetime mark last week winning by open lengths.  (6) CYRANO JONES was also a romping winner last week.  The pacer could be the only threat to the top choice.  (4) FLIP IT ON picks up the top driver off a decent effort from a tough spot.

Race 11

(4) LIMA RITCH is very inconsistent week to week.  The pacer usually offer a monster price and owns a decent burst of speed when timed right.  (2) HICKORY TERRIFIC has just been racing evenly and looks to offer low value; use caution.  (7) MORELAND FLASH showed a big burst of speed last week racing gamely.

Race 12

(2) BIG BOSSMAN set a lifetime mark last start impressively.  The pacer jumps up quite a bit but can threaten with a similar effort.  (6) BAD BUG picks up a huge driver change getting sent out for the top barn.  (7) GIBBS doesn't win often but did race very well last week.

Race 13

In a weak and inconstant field, (3) THE PRICE YOU PAY has been competitive against better on the year.   (5) WESTERN COBY pacer hasn't won a race in almost three years; use underneath.  (1) J F COOKIN gets the best post in a field full of question marks.

Race 14

(4) MCCUTCHEN will be used very aggressively looking to drop and pop.  (5) JK PATRIOT will look to make it two straight at this level; needs more.  (9) TEST OF WILL might be the sleeper in the race with a good setup.

Race 15

(2) EWALD HANOVER five-year-old gets sent out first start off a layoff for capable connections.  The pacer finds a suspect bunch and can score if ready.  (1) JET SET STYLE gets the best post in a weak field.   (9) RIDGE PARK has yet to win on the year but will offer value and could hit the ticket with a smooth trip.
