Race 8 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Jeremey’s $1 Pick Four Play:

7 / 2 / 3,9 / 1,3,7 =$6

Best Bet: GIBBS (13th)

Spot Play: SAINT SIMEON (10th)

Race 1

(3) BAD MEDICINE freshman pacer showed a decent move last start against tougher.  (2) LIGHT ONE UP filly should be in line for a decent trip up close at a big price.  (1) YOUHADMEFROMHELLO has just been racing evenly; command a price.

Race 2

(3) HEZA MERLIN lightly raced trotter has been steadily improving and finds an inconsistent field.  (4) STAR TREATMENT well bred 4-year-old couldn't close on the winner last week but did trot a decent mile.  (5) RUN WITH ME comes into the race off two nice efforts and picks up a top driver.

Race 3

(6) REAL KNOCK OUT well bred 3-year-old has lots of room to improve third start back off a long layoff.  (7) OVERDRIVE gets set out for a low percentage pilot of an impressive win; threat.  (1) REBEL ROCK RUSTY put in a huge effort last start racing gamely.

Race 4

(2) ROMPAWAY GALAXY finds an easy spot to make it two straight; short price.  (1) FAWN DE J has been competitive against better and gets the best post.  (5) SMOKE MONKEY has been facing really tough competition.  If the 3-year-old stays trotting he might be one of few threats to the top choice.

Race 5

In a really weak field, (6) RADIO LOVER owns a win at this level and should offer better value this week.  (5) REAL SEXY LADY freshman filly pacer has been improving but faces older.  (4) HELLO BAD BOY showed improvement last start finishing second.

Race 6

(7) AUSTIN'S JON JON veteran trotter has been facing much tougher.  (4) CHAD is one of two horses in the race with multiple wins on the year.  (1) CHIP'S DREAMER gets the best post down in class.

Race 7

(3) MR THREE QUARTERS has some question marks coming off a scratch, however the pacer gets sent out for capable connections down in class.  (5) ACTION METRO MAX has a history of burning money against weak fields; use caution.  (6) SAND SAVAGE just missed in this class two back.

Race 8

(7) MYSTIC DESIRE went a monster mile last start and was the driver's choice.  (5) BIG BOSSMAN five-year-old looks to have snapped out of a funk he was in for almost a year.  (1) FOX VALLEY REBEL gets the best post off a nice victory; use underneath.

Race 9

(2) EWALD HANOVER nice-looking pacer romped first start back off a layoff.  The 5-year-old probably has more to offer this week.  (6) MAJO CHRISTMASGIFT hasn't been at his best in his last few.  The pacer does show competitive lines against better.  (5) JIMMY RIP has been facing slightly tougher.

Race 10

(3) SAINT SIMEON had some sneaky late trot last out against a better bunch.  (9) POWERFUL VALOR went an impressive three quarters of a mile in the qualifier.  If the six-year-old minds his manners he will be tough to keep off the ticket.  (1) MARGARITA MAN nine-year-old comes into the race off a scratch but was an easy winner at this level the start prior.

Race 11

(3) BAD BUG gets sent out for the top barn with the best driver.  (7) DOCTOR CARTER owns a big burst of speed when timed right.  (1) VILLAGE JACKSON will look to capitalize on the best starting post.  The pacer should be in an excellent spot turning for home.

Race 12

(5) ZORGWIJK MERCEDES picks up the top driver against a weak and inconsistent field.  The trotting mare is 0 for the year but can turn it around if she minds her manners.  (6) MUSCLE MOUNTAIN gets sent out for capable connections in a very soft spot.   (3) BALLYKEEL MIKE only has one win on the year but has been racing better than his lines indicate.

Race 13

(5) GIBBS gets a low morning line but if you watched his last two efforts they were tremendous.  (2) BETTOR DESIGN paced a big mile last start and should be in another great spot turning for home.  (1) PL ADDER tough old pacer would need much more to hit the top spot; use underneath.

Race 14

In a very tough race to handicap, (1) JUST HENRY raced well at this level two back and should offer a fair price even with the rail.  (7) CACTUS BILLY pacer makes his first start for new connections; threat.  (6) COACH KEN takes a significant drop but also has just been racing evenly; use caution.

Race 15

(9) NORTHERN RIVER might be the only threat to the morning line favorite in the race.  The nine-year-old needs a smooth trip from the second tier for his best chance.  (3) MEXICAN COAST is very inconsistent from week to week.  His best effort puts him on the ticket.  (7) MAJOR SPEED has just been racing evenly but could be the sleeper in the race with a fast pace to close into.
