Race 8 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Jeremey’s $1 Pick Four ticket:

5,6 / 1,4,5 / 1,3,5 / 8 = $18

Best Bet (2-5 / $8.40): SUNBURNED VERN (13th)

Race 1

In a suspect field (1) VESPER AS finally gets a good post but only sports one win in a very long time.  (4) HELLO ANDY has been off almost a year in a half but did put in a decent qualifier first time back. (7) FORTUNE KING should offer a nice big price and could be a threat with some racing luck.

Race 2

(6) PANDORA'S GAMBIT N gets the benefit of the top driver and might get the lead early without using much.  (5) THE CLASSIC Z TAM looks to be a slow starter but should be in the outer flow early on in a very weak field.  (3) REDNECK RIVIERA  has yet to win in over two years but is dropping down in class.

Race 3

(2) J M SHOWCAT make sure the gelding trotter is on the starting gate as he has breaking issues.  Should the 4-year old stay trotting he will be hard to beat.  (5) JAY JAY REDSKY despite always seeming to come up short but the trotter does own a good burst of speed.  (1) HAY LOOK OUT draws the best post and looks to be in line for a nice trip.

Race 4

(4) CULLENATOR set his life mark last out and would be tough with a repeat of that effort.  (6) PERFECT NIGHT takes a class jump and just looks to be racing evenly but does get the top pilot.  (2) AE WESTERN INGOT very disappointing in his last two starts; command a price.

Race 5

(5) STRIKING LIGHTNING comes off a nice win and picks up a huge driver change.  (2) LONG STEM ROSE might have not liked the off track last out which could boost the price.  (3) SBM GEORGIAN STAR mare might need a start coming off a layoff but made the most money in the field last year.

Race 6

(4) PERFECT HEART BEAT can be prone to miscues but really looked nice in his most recent win.  (1) COLOGIO draws the rail in a suspect field.  (2) WILD RIDE looks to just be back in racing shape after a layoff and does have some gate speed to use.

Race 7

(4) UNCLE PAT needed his last start and looks to be ready for a good effort.  (1) MEGA CHIPS looks terrible on paper but does have some positives and an excuse last out.  (5) LOW AND RIGHT eight-year-old gelding needs a fast pace upfront to close into for his best chance.

Race 8

(6) BLESSING STONE raced big last start after finally getting a better post and might have gained some confidence.  (5) MOOVEIT will be firing early and races much better forwardly placed.  (4) MAJOR MIKE never got into the mile last out but had been sharp prior.

Race 9

(1) SURE THING comes off a long layoff but is the class of the field.  The veteran trotter put in a nice qualifier, draws the rail and was the top driver's choice.  (4) LIMA LUCKY has the ability to upset the top choice if he should need a start.  (5) HERE COMES BUBBA looks to make it three straight but takes a huge jump in class; fires late.

Race 10

(3) KEN UBR DREAM put in a big effort last out and will probably be firing for position again.  (5) TIELER BEA HOTSPUR also raced gamely last out and gets a huge driver change.  (1) OH WHATA GUY draws the rail in an inconsistent field.

Race 11

(8) ROSE RUN LOGAN comes off a nice qualifier where he fired out from a tough post and might be good enough to beat the field off a layoff.  (5) NEELY SPRING had to need that last start and should show improvement.  (4) GIRLS WILLB GIRLS has a good move if timed right but is probably best used underneath.

Race 12

In a really soft and inconsistent field (1) SHANNONS BOY SCOUT gets the best post and an aggressive driver.  (9) SHARP SHUTTLE has had some success for the connections before and might be ready for an improved effort. (2) ARTIOVASCULAR gets much needed post relief and a huge driver change.

Race 13

(1) SUNBURNED VERN drops and draws the rail and looks tough to beat.   (4) ALWAYS READY had a tough first over trip last out and might be the same scenario, however he gets the benefit of the top driver this time.  (9) SCUTTLE first start for a new trainer and just needs to get a good spot out of the gate for a chance at a piece.

Race 14

(9) MAC ATACK MAC made the most money in the field last year and should be in line for a decent trip.  (1) HERBEDAONE put in a big effort out of the eight hole last out; fires early.  (2) MASTER'S SWEETIE mare owns some back class.

Race 15

(1) LEE A BRYANT drops and draws the rail.  (2) LARRY CLARK just raced evenly last out but could save some ground before shaking loose late.  (9) MELVIN'S DREAM hasn't been on his game but finds a weak field.
