Northfield: Tuesday 9/2 Analysis + Pick Four ticket

Race 8 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Jeremey’s $1 Pick Four Play:

1,2,3 / 1,2,5 / 4,5 / 7 = $18

Best Bet: KAHOKU (5th)

Race 1

(4) TWILIGHT METEOR has been trotting some decent miles and should be much closer turning for home in a weak field.   (9) STOLEN CROWN should offer a big price bumping up in class; threat.  (3) LIFE LONG HANOVER looks terrible on paper but has made the most money in the field on the year and is capable of putting it together.

Race 2

(1) LEGAL BRIEF was the driver's choice, gets the best post, and gets sent out for recent hot connections.  (5) K C COLT went a huge effort down in class and will be in the mix with a similar effort.  (2) DERINGER GUN raced gamely last out but would need more to hit the top spot; use underneath.

Race 3

(5) SURE THING is just now back in racing shape and owns a ton of back class.  (3) NEELY SPRING was bet down heavily last start and crushed off of suspicious looking lines.  If the gelding races back to that effort he will be tough to keep off the ticket.  (1) VIEWLANDER set his lifetime mark last out and gets the best post.

Race 4

In a tough race to gauge (3) CRAIG MICHEAL faces a softer field than his last few and makes his second start in a new barn; threat.  (1) SASSY OSBORNE gelding was just racing evenly until last start he rips off a 1:52 3/5 mile winning by fourteen lengths up in class.  (9) HERES HOOTER watch the gelding closely as he should be sitting on an improved effort for a new trainer.

Race 5

(9) KAHOKU takes a significant drop in class and just needs to mind his manners for a victory.  (1) NORMA'S ROSE veteran trotter's game is speed but has had a tough time finding the winners circle this year; vulnerable late.  (4) MYSTERY XPOSED could be the sleeper in the race should the top choice falter but is probably best used underneath.

Race 6

(5) BAY SHARK had broken equipment last start which could boost the pacer's price in a wide-open race.   (2) ART'S BOY has good early gate speed and looks to be in line for a good trip up close. (4) DIAMONDS REVENGE has just been racing evenly but finds a softer spot to do some damage with a better pilot.

Race 7

(6) ALLAMERICAN PEWTER ran off the screen last out and is a threat to do it again.  (4) GEM HEIST has been super for new connections and paced a personal lifetime best last start.  (9) OUR MCLOVIN picks up a low percentage pilot; use underneath.

Race 8

(3) CHASE THE SUN drops out of the open and was the driver's choice in a field with few contenders.  (1) CULLEN'S BLUE JEAN was a game winner last out but faces tougher.  (2) COLD BATH gelding is an enigma racing very inconsistently, but a good effort puts him on the ticket.

Race 9

(5) BENNS SCORE KEEPER drops out of the open and has beaten much better on the year.  (1) BEAUTY CHIP mare is reunited with a top driver and would be a threat with a similar effort to a few back.  (2) CABO bumps up in class off a victory and needs more to hit the top spot.

Race 10

(5) ROCKIN FINISH is the best horse in the race by far when right.  (4) TRUE TO MACH is razor sharp and finds a softer field with some question marks.   (6) TOP OF THE MARK was a big winner first start for a new trainer and could have more to offer.

Race 11

(7) TAMARIND well bred stallion has been facing much tougher and was the driver's choice.  (6) MYTHICAL HALL could be the only threat to the top choice; fires early.  (2) HEZA RUBE is very talented but does have some gait issues and is best used underneath.

Race 12

(9) PRIME TIME POPPA went a huge effort last out going a very tough trip.  A repeat of that effort makes him the horse to beat.  (4) IRON N STEEL has just been racing evenly and needs a smooth trip for his best chance.  (1) QUIK GROOM gets a much better post for an inconsistent trainer; use caution.

Race 13

(8) GET GOIN MEL will offer a huge price and actually has the ability to do some damage with some racing luck.  (2) ROYAL CAM-HALL gets sent out for red-hot connections; big chance.  (4) PRECIOUS MEDAL gets a negative driver change but does come off a nice effort; threat.

Race 14

(6) COACH KEN made up a ton of ground late into dull cover.  (3) DRIVEN TO SUCCEED is capable of pacing a fast mile and finds a very inconsistent field.  (2) RIDGE PARK is 0 for the year but does benefit from a top driver.

Race 15

(9) WARDOG HALL went from awesome to empty last out.  Any kind of effort prior to the last dominates.  (2) SINGIN BLUES owns good gate speed which could put the veteran pacer on the ticket.  (5) HERSMAN has been knocking on the door but needs more.
