Spot Play: VISION OF GLORY (3rd)

Race 1

(2) J J NEWTON makes his second start for new connections.  The gelding faces a much easier bunch than his last race.  (3) PHANTOM FLASHER raced gamely last out to a tough opponent.  The pacer has proven connections and also faces easier.  (4) UNADORNED HANOVER makes his first start for a red hot trainer; threat.

Race 2

(2) WELLSAIDANDONE well bred 3-year-old picks up a huge driver change for a new barn.  (3) AWESOME BOLT closed up nicely last out and should be closer turning for home.  (6) WESTERN FELLA also benefits from a driver change and has tons of upside.

Race 3

(8) VISION OF GLORY Seven-year-old trotter has a tough post to overcome but should be driven aggressively down in class.  (5) SUPER LUSTRE made a break last out but the trainer puts up an aggressive pilot that could make a difference.  (3) BLAZING FUTURE can't quite get over the hump in the win column but does own a good burst of speed; use underneath.

Race 4

(4) DAISY DUKES the sophomore pacer faces a much softer field for a top trainer; threat.  (2) SLOT ARTIST gelding is handicapped by a low percentage pilot but does own some ability.  (3) JUSTFASTENOUGH needed his first start and should show improvement in his second lifetime start.

Race 5

(2) WELCOME WAGON was a game winner last out taking a lifetime mark.  The well bred 3-year-old would be tough to deny with a similar effort.  (1) WESTERN GEAR comes into the race on a roll and should have more to offer. (3) NO DRAMA went a big trip last out and now gets post relief.

Race 6

(4) GALE FORCE HANOVER won for fun with a new driver last start and will be tough to beat in this spot.  (7) ROJAN'S LAST SHOT well bred colt makes his career debut, adds lasix for the first time and looks to have a lot of ability.  (2) HERES LOOKINATUKID put in a decent first effort out off a layoff but would need more to hit the top spot.

Race 7

(3) CODYTHECLOWN four-year-old is not the fastest off the gate but has a good burst of speed.  (5) COLOR PALETTE K filly showed nice improvement for a new trainer last out and has some upside.  (9) NOT AGAIN WOMAN mare has just been racing evenly; use underneath.

Race 8

In a very weak and evenly matched field (3) STEP RIGHT UP gets a big driver change and should offer a fair price.  (1) LUCKY BRAD was completely empty last out but draws the best in a suspect field.  (7) DAX HANOVER made a break last start and needs to find a way into the race.  The gelding is probably best used underneath.

Race 9

(7) STOLEN CROWN gets sent out for a weak pilot but has the most ability in the field.  (2) ROSE RUN LEAH gets a huge driver change in a suspect field.  (4) LEGACY CHIP keeps the top driver in a field with few contenders.

Race 10

(9) MORELAND FLASH came up empty last out after being sharp prior despite some bad racing luck. (3) SIR HOWIE'S Z TAM takes a huge drop in class but has just been racing evenly; use caution.  (2) MAJOR SPEED gets post relief but is 0 for fifteen; use underneath.

Race 11

(8) NATHAN gelding should offer a great price and might have more ability than the field if he can find a way into the race.  (2) I RECKON SO has been racing much better as of late and gets a good post.  (1) MAXIMUM VIKING is inconsistent from week to week but could hit the board with a good effort.

Race 12

(1) ACTION-EAR-TO-EAR pacing bred trotter has won two straight, gets the best post, and just needs to mind her manners for a victory.  (4) MISS RILEY mare was racing gamely before a miscue last out.  (3) TUSCARORA BLUEROAN five-year-old makes his second start for a new trainer off a decent first effort.

Race 13

(7) HIGH HEELS N SPURS mare picks up the top driver and should be much better against a weak field. (1) TRIPOLI has just been racing evenly but should be in line for a great trip up close to the pace.  (6) VESPER AS could hit the ticket underneath at a price in the right scenario.

Race 14

(7) GOLDEN ACE has shown signs of improvement including a big effort last out.  (5) TIDBIT finds a really inconsistent field and should offer a big price.  (1) GAME MADISON takes a slight bump down the class ladder but could be overbet; use caution.

Race 15

(5) BEACH CRISIS should offer a big price off of bad-looking lines.  The gelding has a below average driver but would be a threat with a trip.  (6) SLATTS is 0 for seventeen on the year but benefits from an aggressive driver.  (4) SOUTH PARK KID drops in class and has shown gate speed.
