Northfield: Tuesday 5/13 Analysis + Pick Four ticket

Race 8 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Jeremey’s $1 Pick Four Play:

3 / 1,2,4,5 / 4,9 / 1,2,4 = $24

Spot Play: SWINGING DAVE (7th)

Race 1

(1) AH STRIKING STRIDE should be able to use the rail to his advantage in a very weak field.  (7) NORTH PARCC will offer a huge price and just needs some racing luck to hit the board.   (8) FORTUNE KING gelding would be the horse to beat with a driver and a better post.

Race 2

(3) MAKIN GREEN LAVEC takes a significant drop in class and should be used aggressively.    (1) CARELESS LOVE is 0 for the year but has shown a good burst of speed in some recent starts.  (4) TRIPOLI could get a good spot off the gate but has a tendency to be short the last part of the mile; use underneath.

Race 3

(5) DUCHESS OFNORMANBY was a game winner first start off the bench for a new trainer and should only improve off that effort.  (8) MISS RILEY needs to mind her manners but has upside despite the bad post.  (4) ROCK ON TRIGGER just missed last out but still needs more.

Race 4

(9) HOMEMADE CAM sophomore pacer makes his third start back off and drops down in class.  (2) COLOR PALETTE K has been much better against less for a new trainer; threat.  (3) LUCKY REI fits nicely in the race and just needs a trip.

Race 5

In a wide open race full of inconsistent trotters (5) LU'S NEELY needed his last start and should offer a big price in a suspect field.  (8) TINY MITE mare gets stuck with a bad post but might have the most ability.  (4) PUTUPYOURDUKES four-year-old has just been racing evenly and is 0 for thirty in his career but has to be considered against this bunch.

Race 6

(2) TRUE T TOOT gets a new trainer and a much better pilot; threat.  (1) ALL NATIVE lightly raced filly is one of few with upside in the race and gets the best post.  (5) CHANAS LUCKY THREE faces an easier field than his last few and has at least shown a decent burst of speed.

Race 7

In a field with few contenders (3) SWINGING DAVE raced gamely last out to a nice winner.  A repeat of that effort makes him tough to beat.  (4) PAPA GRANDE could be overbet off the win last race and gets a negative driver change.  (5) JB'S GOLDEN BOY went a big three quarters of a mile before tiring last start.  The pacer could be a threat if he gets a smooth trip.

Race 8

(3) WESTERN FELLA well bred gelding was a game winner last out and looks to have more to offer.  (5) PHANTOM FLASHER has a proven owner whose horses seem to always have go; threat.  (2) WELLSAIDANDONE nice looking pacer has lots of room to improve.

Race 9

In a weak field (5) EXACTORMAN is capable of getting a victory and just needs to be in a decent spot turning for home.  (1) NATHAN looks to be pacing faster than most of the field and gets the best post; big chance.  (2) STEP RIGHT UP has been going some consistent miles but just racing evenly; use underneath.

Race 10

(4) WESTERN GEAR pacer has been really good in a new barn and should get to control the pace.  (9) WELCOME WAGON well bred 3-year-old looks to make it four straight but could be hampered by the second tier a bit.   (2) EASTER BAY gelding has some ability, makes his third start back off a layoff and flashed a big burst of speed in his last start.

Race 11

(2) ART'S SHADOW hasn't had much of a chance in his last two races but finds an ideal spot to do some damage.  (1) RELLA ON ATTACK could just now be back in racing shape and gets the best post.  (4) DAX HANOVER veteran pacer is 0 for the year but finds a very weak field.

Race 12

In a field that's a combined one for eighty-seven on the year (5) LITTLE BOX OUT faces easier and gets a post with options.  (4) RALPH looks terrible on paper but will offer a big price and gets a huge driver change.  (1) WATTAFINERUSTY finally gets post relief and should be able to save some ground.

Race 13

(5) ILLUMINATION something was amiss last out but the pacer had put in a few decent efforts prior.  (2) CINNAMON ROLLS raced awesome last time the driver was up.  The pacer bumps down in class and should get a good trip.  (1) MORELAND FLASH gelding is tough to gauge after being completely empty last start.  The pacer would be an easy winner if he can find his form from a few back.

Race 14

(9) Y F CRASHER mare makes her third start back off a layoff and has shown a big burst of speed in an inconsistent field.   (1) REWRITE THE RULES comes off a scratch but benefits from the rail and a driver change.  (2) IKNOWWHATBOYSLIKE finds a softer spot but has just been racing evenly; command a price.

Race 15

(1) SOUTH PARK KID was parked the mile last out but raced exceptionally well taking that into consideration.  (7) DIAMONDS REVENGE is capable of pacing a good mile with a setup.  (6) NUKES FORTUNATESON made up some decent ground late last out late.
