Northfield: Tuesday 4/29 Analysis + Pick Four ticket

Race 8 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Jeremey’s $1 Pick Four Play:

1,2,4,5 / 2,8 / 4,6 / 1 = $16

Race 1

(4) ROYAL FRICASSEE trotting mare makes her second start back off a game first effort.  (6) JACKIE NO stayed trotting in the qualifier but has made breaks in four of her last six starts.  If she minds her manners out of the gate she probably wins.  (2) MOLLY'S TROLLEY could hit the bottom of the ticket with a smooth trip.

Race 2

In a really weak field (6) DEPUTY DYLAN has failed in two consecutive tries as the favorite but keeps the top driver and drops in class.  (2) MASTER WHEELS drops down into the bottom condition and could get handled aggressively; command a price.  (1) FORTUNE KING nine-year-olds record looks terrible but gets the best post in an inconsistent field.

Race 3

(1) CODYTHECLOWN has flashed ability and will be tough to beat with any kind of a trip.  (4) NOT AGAIN WOMAN closed with a good burst of speed last out and could be turning a corner.  The mare would need to do much better to contend with the top choice.  (3) COLOR PALETTE K switches barns at a new track coming off a miscue.  The 3-year-old filly faces a much softer group but has just been racing evenly.

Race 4

(4) LOGANS A WINNER lightly raced pacer finds a field that is 0 for 39 combined.   If the gelding can show any gate speed he should be right there on the wire.  (7) ACTION AUBREE ROSA filly doesn't look good on paper but has the top driver/trainer combo going for her.  (8) SLOT ARTIST would probably be the horse to beat with a better post.  The gelding is 0 for his career but has been knocking on the door.

Race 5

(2) MASTER'S TRACKSTER has gate speed and will likely be sitting in the pocket or third.  (1) JAY JAY REDKY takes a slight bump down in class and picks up the top driver.  (4) WYATT thirteen-year-old went a fast three quarters of a mile last out before tiring badly.  If he rations out his speed he is a threat to hit the ticket.

Race 6

In a field with few contenders (7) GALE FORCE HANOVER well bred trotter comes off a really nice qualifier that would destroy this field.  (4) HALL'N CHIPS gelding beat a weak field last out and could show improvement in his third lifetime start.  (9) MR ABERDEEN should offer a big price coming off a break.  The trotter was a game winner a few starts ago.

Race 7

(1) LUCKY SNIPER six-year-old gets the best post against a slightly weaker field and makes his first start for a new trainer.  (4) I RECKON SO needs to avoid an early speed duel to hit the ticket but does have some ability.   (5) MEDOLAND TESS in the same boat as the top choice but benefits from the top driver.

Race 8

(1) COWBOY TOUGH tries a new track against much weaker company; big chance.   (2) STORMY GHOST pacer has more ability than what he's been showing.  (4) TIELER BEA HOTSPUR has been pacing some consistent miles but seems to lack punch late; command a price.

Race 9

(8) BELLASTWIGHLIGHTSTAR mare can get the job done against these but will need to find a spot out of the gate for her best chance.  (2) LARRY P gets a huge driver change and a much better post in a wide open race.  (5) MY JUSTICE the mare has just been racing evenly and the top driver opted elsewhere but looks to be a logical contender.

Race 10

(6) MIZUNO drew off against the bottom condition horses. The veteran pacer would be a huge threat with a repeat of his last effort. (4) KING ME raced well last out closing nicely.  (5) EXPRESSO FORTE looks to be dangerous with a good spot out of the gate.

Race 11

(1) HERBEDAONE takes a huge drop in class and has been trotting faster than most of the field.  (7) STOLEN CROWN mare makes her second start back off a long layoff for a low percentage driver.  The 7-year-old's first start was something she can build on.  (6) IKNOWWHATBOYSLIKE looks terrible on paper but gets sent out for a hot trainer.

Race 12

(4) SAINTFRANCIS races better forwardly placed but has been dull in his last few.  (7) LIMA LUCKY finds a much softer bunch and is versatile.  (6) TRIPLE G needs to use his early gate speed to have a chance to hit the ticket.

Race 13

(6) LIL DUDES MACH UP was really good in the qualifier despite making his first start of the year.  The pacer could be ready for a good effort.  (1) LARRY CLARK second start for a new barn and keeps a red hot top driver.  (3) YOULL THINK OF ME gets post relief and faces easier.

Race 14

(3) INGLORIOUS MUSTARD as long as the 4-year-old doesn't get in a speed duel early he will be tough to deny; adds second time lasix.  (2) ELM GROVE COMANDER don't give up on the pacer just yet despite how rough his lines look he did show a good burst of speed a few starts ago.  (6) PANDAPOCKET has just been racing evenly and needs a lot of racing luck to hit the top few spots; use underneath.
