Northfield: Friday 4/25 Analysis + Pick Four ticket

Jeremey’s 8th race $1 Pick Four Play:

3,5,9 / 1 / 2,3,4 / 2,4 = $18

Best Bet: MR JESSE (9th)

Spot Play: CYCLONE ASHORE (4th)

Race 1

(3) AFRICAN VIOLET gets sent out for a driver and a barn that has been unstoppable.   (1) JB ROSE mare benefits from post and class relief.  (2) BLUEBIRD JETTART has just been racing evenly and is probably best used on the bottom of the ticket.

Race 2

(1) SO LONG MY LOVE mare has been facing some stiff competition and looks to be in a good spot to do some damage.  (3) SWEETHEART DANCE is probably the horse to beat in the field but gets a negative driver change.  (2) BLOWS ME AWAY raced really good first start off the bench and should me much sharper second start back.

Race 3

(7) UP FRONT KELLIE JO it would take a terrible trip to stop the classy pacer from making it six straight.  (3) POWER EVERYWHERE mare is super consistent, very versatile, and has put up a good fight against the favorite in the past.   (5) Y MACH ME picks up a red hot top driver and will be firing late.

Race 4

(8) CYCLONE ASHORE raced like a monster in this barn the start prior.  The 7-year-old pacer will most likely be blasting off the gate.   (3) UNCLE PAT could get an ideal setup to close into.  (9) CRY FOR CASH looks to be in a tough spot in almost every scenario possible unless the driver can quarter move early; command a price.

Race 5

(4) MCARDLE DIRECT finds a weak field and faced much better last race.  (6) ROCKRATESE well bred mare paced a good mile last out but jumps up in class and is in need of a smooth trip.  (1) BLUE TIME ICE LADY has just been racing evenly but could benefit from the best post with the right fractions; use underneath.

Race 6

(8) VACATION ANGEL might offer a fair price out of the eight hole.  The six-year-old trotter has been on a roll for a new barn and will be tough to deny.  (3) CHIP'S DREAM looks to have the only chance to upset the favorite but will probably need to play hardball early for that to happen.  (2) WILD RIDE raced well last out, gets a better post, and would also benefit from an early speed duel.

Race 7

In a race that could be hotly contested early (3) EE BAY has went wire to wire two straight starts but the top driver opted off however, that could boost the price.  (4) POUNNE DE LUXE was the top driver's choice of three but doesn't always race her best when used early.  (1) BECAUSEWECAM will be firing with a purpose early and will not be letting anybody go easy.

Race 8

(3) WOMEN RULE mare will look to take advantage of her gate speed and post edge on the favorite.  (5) CLASSIC SAKURI mare has been racing gamely but will have to go a big trip to get it done.  (9) KELLY BLUE CHIP with a smooth trip and an effort like her last start she has a chance if the logical contenders hook up in a battle.

Race 9

(1) MR JESSE gelding has been on fire for the top barn in the country, gets the best post, and will look to take no prisoners.  (4) SOULFUL DELIGHT has a lot of back class and raced gamely to the top choice last out.  (3) NORDIC VENTURE made a miscue last start but would still need more to hit the top spot; use underneath.

Race 10

(4) CHASE THE SUN has been on go for a new trainer; vulnerable late.  (2) I KNOW YOUR LOOKIN comes off a scratch but had been razor sharp prior.  (3) RUST BELT put in a lifetime best last out and could benefit from a fast pace up front.

Race 11

(4) A LA NOTTE HANOVER well bred filly has a qualifier and a start under her belt which should help her.  (2) SISTER STROLL filly makes her sophomore debut off a nice qualifier and will be sitting no worse than second early on.  (6) THAT WOMAN HANOVER three-year-old pacer will have to step her game up off the gate if she plans on being a threat late.

Race 12

(5) SPARKLING YANKEE mare was the top driver's choice and gets sent out for new connections that have done well in this scenario.  (4) RIBBONS OF CLOLOR pacing mare gets a huge drop in class, and post relief; big chance.  (1) MCMERRY AGAIN draws the rail and has been showing consistent closing ability.

Race 13

(5) TAME THE DAME mare steps up in class, but did make the most money of the field last year, along with picking up a big driver change.  (3) INFINITE DESIRE has won three of four and just needs a good trip.  (2) DOOWRAH DOUBLE mare has just been racing evenly but does face a softer field.

Race 14

(8) IRISH ELITIST gelding makes his first start for new connections but needs to find a way into the race for an aggressive driver.  (2) NATHAN is just now rounding back into racing shape and gets a good post.  (1) STATE OF THE UNION is very inconsistent from week to week; command a price.
