INGLEWOOD, Calif. - Northern Soldier remained unbeaten after three starts, winning his stakes debut in Saturday's $150,000 at Hollywood Park. Ridden by Chance Rollins, Northern Soldier ($21.40) disputed the pace from the start, took the lead in early stretch and won by three-quarters of a length over Remembering Star. Trained by Brian Koriner for a partnership, Northern Soldier ran seven furlongs in 1:22.46. Remembering Star, who had the early lead through fractions of 21.93 and 44.74 seconds, held second, finishing three-quarters of a length in front of Arson Squad, the 6-5 favorite in the field of seven 3-year-olds. Northern Soldier won two overnight races at Golden Gate Fields earlier this year. By Yankee Victory, he has earned $123,550.
