Nebraska's 2007 racing season will mirror previous years, as evidenced by dates approved Thursday by the Nebraska State Racing Commission. Fonner Park will start the season on Feb. 9 and conduct a 38-day meet that concludes on Kentucky Derby Day, May 5. State Fair Park in Lincoln will start its 37-day season on May 11 and run through July 15. Horsemen's Park in Omaha will pick up the following weekend with a four-day festival meet from July 19 to 22 before action shifts to Ag Park in Columbus for a 24-day meet running July 29 to Sept. 9. Horsemen's Atokad Downs in South Sioux City will conclude the 106 days of Thoroughbred racing in the state with a three-day meet running from Sept. 14 to 16. Fairplay Park in Hastings will conclude live racing for the year with a one-day Quarter Horse meet on Saturday, Sept. 22.
