ETOBICOKE, Ontario — Into The Mystic, a beautifully bred daughter of Galileo, enhanced her value significantly by notching her first stakes win Friday in the $101,400 River Memories at Woodbine. Into The Mystic rallied from the rear of the nine-horse field to reach contention in the stretch, and then split horses en route to a half-length tally over Boreale. Stella Rose finished another neck back in third, a neck in front of a four-wide Midnight Crossing. Into The Mystic ($20.50) covered 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.82. The River Memories was taken off the soggy turf course, and Patrick Husbands rode Into The Mystic again after finishing fourth on the turf in a recent allowance that was also on the Tapeta. “The first time on the (Tapeta), she just ran like a horse,” Husbands recalled. “Today, she really got hold of the (Tapeta), and showed that she’s the best horse.” Into The Mystic banked $60,000 for Fox Hill Farm and trainer Mark Casse.
