My Silver Charm captures Lakeway

My Silver Charm became a stakes winner on Saturday night, when she drove to a two and three-quarter length win over Texas Cowgirl in the $40,000 Lakeway at Retama Park near San Antonio. It was another nose back in third to Olmosta.

My Silver Charm ($3.20) broke from the rail and was with the pace through an opening quarter in 22.15 seconds. She then moved to the outside of rivals and went on to cover the six furlongs for 3-year-old fillies in 1:09.48.

Carlos Gonzalez rode the winner for trainer Cole Norman.

My Silver Charm earned $24,000 for the win, which was her second from 11 career starts. She has now earned $111,220. My Silver Charm races for Denise and Bill Morrison. She is a daughter of Silver Charm.
