My Master Plan wins Gaylord Memorial to stay perfect

My Master Plan remained undefeated in three starts Friday night, when she drove to a 1 1/2-length win over D R C’S Pretty Sky in the $50,000 E.L. Gaylord Memorial at Remington Park. It was another head back to Another Bond Girl in third.

The Gaylord, for 2-year-old fillies at 6 ½ furlongs, could produce starters for the meet’s richest race for the division, the $100,000 Trapeze in December.

My Master Plan ($3.40) stalked a quick pace set by Sajara, who was pressured through fractions of 21.97 seconds for the opening quarter and 44.76 for the half-mile. My Master Plan advanced, put in a strong bid through the lane, and covered the distance on a track rated good in 1:17.67.

Luis Quinonez rode the winner for trainer Donnie Von Hemel.

Dan McGough bred and owns My Master Plan, a daughter of Oratory. My Master Plan, who has compiled her three-race win streak at Remington, was bred in Texas.
