My Dinah gets there for Fleet Indian victory

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - My Dinah needed every inch of the Saratoga stretch to run down Meese Rocks and win Friday’s $70,000 Fleet Indian Stakes for New York-bred fillies and mares by a head. It was 2 1/2 lengths back to Eager Emma in third.
The win broke a 13-race losing streak for My Dinah, dating back to 13 months. It was the seventh victory from 36 starts for My Dinah and pushed her career earnings to $412,594. My Dinah is owned by Akindale Farm and trained by Kathleen Feron.
Under Jose Espinoza, My Dinah sat in fifth position early as Sweet Lorena, Meese Rocks, and Weathered were part of a strong early half-mile in 45.64 seconds. My Dinah launched a four-wide rally around the turn, moved into second turning for home and was able to collar Meese Rocks in the final strides.
My Dinah, a daughter of Victory Gallop, covered the seven furlongs in 1:22.86 and returned $16.20 to win.
Wicked Diva, the 5-2-morning-line favorite, was scratched after flipping in the paddock while being saddled.
