AUBURN, Wash. - Under a flawless ride from Miguel Perez, My Creed stalked the pace of Flamethrowintexan and Random Memo from the inside, angled out for room in the upper stretch and finished with a rush to win Monday's $100,000 by nearly three lengths in 1:47.40 for the 1 1-8 miles. Flamethrowintexan, who was favored at 3-2, outlasted Random Memo for second by a neck.

It was the third straight win for My Creed, who paid $10.00 to win and earned $55,000 for the partnership of Seven Star Racing Stable and Bob Hess Sr. The victory improved My Creed's record to four wins from 11 starts for $131,640 in earnings.

My Creed, a 3-year-old son of Beau Genius and Test of Faith, by Temperence Hill, was saddled on Monday by trainer Junior Coffey. He was trained by Bob Hess Sr. in California, where he won a stakes at Santa Rosa in his previous start.

"He has always had ability, but now he is maturing and learning to relax," said Hess. "I think he has learned how to be a race horse."
