My Conquestadory’s dam, half-sister added to Fasig-Tipton November catalog

Golden Artemis, the dam of Grade 1 winner My Conquestadory, and her weanling filly by Desert Party have been added to the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky selected fall mixed sale catalog.

The horses will be consigned by owner Paul Tackett, who bred My Conquestadory. The sale will be held Nov. 4 at Fasig-Tipton’s Newtown Paddocks base in Lexington, Ky.

Golden Artemis is a 7-year-old stakes-placed winning Malibu Moon mare who will sell in foal to Artie Schiller, meaning that she is carrying a full sibling to My Conquestadory. The mare is from the family of Grade 2 winner Kelly Kip and Grade 3 winner Meadow Gem.

“We are thrilled at Mr. Tackett’s decision to offer Golden Artemis and her foal at the November sale,” Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning said.  “The mare is just seven and My Conquestadory is her first foal.  As a young Grade 1 producer, Golden Artemis is already very special and My Conquestadory could very well build on that in a few weeks at the Breeders’ Cup.”

Tackett will also offer Golden Artemis’ yearling filly by Horse Greeley during the upcoming Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October yearling sale.

My Conquestadory grabbed national attention when she won the Grade 2 Summer Stakes in her debut on Sept. 14 at Woodbine, venturing outside of filly-restricted competition to defeat males. The Artie Schiller filly followed up with a hard-earned victory in the Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes on Oct. 4 at Keeneland, emerging from traffic to rally in the final stages for the win.
