Muy Rapido by a head in Enchantress Stakes

Muy Rapido became a stakes winner Sunday, when she edged Desert Gambler by a head in the $85,000 Enchantress at Sunland Park. It was another 3 1/4 lengths back to Baby Vamp in third.

Muy Rapido ($5) was prominent throughout the one-mile race for 2-year-old fillies bred in New Mexico. She sat just off Miss E Bar, who took the field through an opening half-mile in 47.93 seconds. Muy Rapido overtook that rival and went on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:39.48.

Enrique Gomez was aboard the winner for trainer Johnnie Nall. J. Kirk and Judy Robison bred and race Muy Rapido. The filly has won 3 of 7 starts and $118,340.
