Mutual Trust extends unbeaten streak in Prix Jean Prat

Mutual Trust remained unbeaten after four starts and won his first Group 1 race in the Prix Jean Prat for 3-year-olds at Chantilly, France, on Sunday.

Mutual Trust, ridden by Maxime Guyon, finished a head in front of Zoffany, the even-money favorite who finished a nose in front of pacesetter Strong Suit, in the one-mile race that was worth approximately $580,000.

Mutual Trust, a 2-1 chance, was second to Strong Suit for the first six furlongs and took the lead with a furlong remaining. Strong Suit retook the lead briefly in the final sixteenth, but Mutual Trust rallied to win narrowly.

Glorious Sight, a filly, finished fourth, followed by Venomous and Neebras. Temps Au Temps broke slowly and refused to race before he was pulled up.

Mutual Trust, a colt by Cacique, was bred by owner Juddmonte Farms and is trained by Andre Fabre. He won his stakes debut in the Group 3 Prix Paul de Moussac at Chantilly last month.

* Waldpark, a stakes winner at Baden-Baden last month, won his first Group 1 in the German Derby at Hamburg on Sunday.

Ridden by Jozef Bojko, Waldpark, a 10-1 chance, closed from midpack in a field of 18 to win by two lengths over Earl of Tinsdal, giving trainer Andreas Wohler a 1-2 finish.

Brown Panther, the even-money favorite, finished fifth after leading for the first 1 1/4 miles of the race over 1 1/2 miles.

Owned by breeder Gestut Ravensberg, Waldpark is a German-bred colt by Dubawi.
