More Moonlight, Roman Chapa up, wins Saturday's Dixie Belle.

Trainer Steve Asmussen and jockey Roman Chapa cannot lose in stakes company at Oaklawn Park. The team continued their sweep of the local stakes program on Saturday, when More Moonlight reeled in True Tails through the stretch to win the $50,000 Dixie Belle Stakes.

It was the third Oaklawn stakes win of 2005 for Asmussen and Chapa, behind the $50,000 Dixieland with Razor and the $50,000 American Beauty with Souris.

More Moonlight ($4.20) settled in third early in the six-furlong Dixie Belle, as True Tails jumped out to the lead and led the field through an opening quarter-mile in 21.73 seconds. True Tails proceeded to lead through a half-mile in 45.80 seconds, while More Moonlight moved closer to the front-runner. More Moonlight overtook True Tails just past the eighth pole and went on to cover six furlongs over a track rated good in 1:12.33.

She won by 3 1/4 lengths over True Tails. It was another two lengths back to Dimple Pinch in third.
