Monmouth: Snowdrops repeats in Politely

Snowdrops, and jockey Joe Bravo, win the $60,000 Politely Stakes at Monmouth Park.

Snowdrops scored a repeat victory in the $60,000 Politely Stakes for fillies and mares on the grass at Monmouth.

Snowdrops was shuffled and boxed most of the way until jockey Joe Bravo found room in the lane. Snowdrops ($5.80), trained by Christophe Clement, burst through for a 1 3/4-length victory over Dynamia, with Smart N Classy third. Snowdrops ran the 1 1/16 miles on firm turf in 1:42.62.

* In the supporting feature, Cigno d'Oro bested Avery Hall by a neck in the $60,000 Spruce Fir Handicap for New Jersey-bred fillies and mares. Cigno d'Oro ($7), trained by Bob Durso, ran the mile and 70 yards in 1:44.29. Key to Love was third.
