OCEANPORT, N.J. - On Saturday, Bold World won her fifth race in six starts this year, capturing the off-the-turf $50,000 Ocean Hotel Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at five furlongs.

Bold World won her fifth sprint stakes and improved to 6-1-0 in 10 starts for trainer Ronald Taylor.

Bold World, with Jose Velez Jr. up, broke to the lead along the rail in the field of four, and the outcome was never seriously in doubt. She was under wraps the entire backstretch, within a head of Miss Atticus, and took the lead by the quarter-pole. Velez only tapped Bold World with the whip once in mid-stretch. Little Out was 3 1/2 lengths back in second. Miss Atticus was third and Primary Colors was last. Bold World ($2.60) covered the five furlongs in 56.73 before a crowd of 15, 620.

Taylor said Bold World would make her next start in the Grade 3 Azalea Breeders' Cup Stakes on July 13 at Calder.
