Monday stakes recaps (9/5/05)


* Kingsfield ($10.20) parlayed a perfect stalking trip under jockey Terry Thompson into a two-length victory in the $40,000 Prairie Meadows Freshman Stakes.

* Dale's Prospect ($3.20) held off Hands On by a head to win the $50,000 Taking Risks, the closing-day feature at Timonium.

* Phone the Diva ($11.80) took charge at the top of the stretch and rolled to an 8 3/4-length victory in the $40,000 Shakopee Stakes at Canterbury Downs. One race later, Wally's Choice ($4.80) dueled with Diligent Won and prevailed by three-quarters of a length in the $40,000 Minneapolis Stakes.

* Lali's Cat capped a four-win day for trainer David Anderson with a 2 1/4-length upset in the $10,650 Labor Day Handicap at Columbus. Under Alex Granda, Lali's Cat ($23) rallied from well off the pace in his stakes debut.
